While zboots did not come in time for our ski day, fun was still had by all…

Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of zfirstborn or zmr, who were not with us for most of the day…they were off on more serious slopes. I, on the other hand, kept my feet firmly on the ground, giving zman a ride while supervising ztwins on the bunny slope. Zgirl directed, as usual.
As you can see, though ztwintwo broke his leg last year while skiing, he was undaunted, approaching the day with no residual trepidation whatsoever. The day before he had put on his skis and boots and skied down the icy snow bank beside our parking lot. Ztwinone had a delightful time as well, just gliding along at breakneck speed, somehow still managing to look laid back and relaxed.
They skied their little hearts out and at the end of the day were still begging for just one more run. My muscles however, were also begging. It was time to go, and a good thing too. By the end of the drive I may have heard more than one child say in a bewildered tone “Mommy, my legs are achy.” Despite some soreness though, they have not stopped asking to go back for more. Zmr couldn’t be more pleased.
