Things I have said today…

“No you cannot have anymore milk in your oatmeal. It’s all we’ve got and Mommy needs it for her coffee.” Go ahead, judge me.

“Go to the table with your food.”

“Flush the toilet, put the lid down, wash your hands.”

“No, you may not play with knives.”

“We do not put books on our bottoms.” To which was replied “Tom Book?” -Tom Book being zman speak for a Thomas the Tank Engine board book.  I answered, “Not even the Tom Book.”

“Yes, you may have a puffed oven pancake for lunch.”

“Please bring Mommy’s clippers over here and give them back to her.”

“No, you may not play with knives.”

“Yes, you may take your orange chainsaw to bed with you. Yes, you can take your wooden one too. Yes, you may take the wood to bed with you too.”

“Please do not put peanut butter on your toes.”

“Put slippers on, you’re making me cold.”

“I see there are dinosaurs in the nativity…again.”

“No, you may not play with knives.”
